Terry R. Bailey - Attorney Profile
Terry R. Bailey has a history of expertise in construction defect and insurance bad faith litigation. Prior to establishing his own firm, Mr. Bailey practiced in Century City with Quisenberry & Kabateck LLP. During his career, Mr. Bailey has recovered over $100 million for plaintiffs in property damage matters for his clients.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Bailey was a general contractor and spent years working in the family construction business. Because of his construction experience, Mr. Bailey works closely with the construction consultants throughout a construction case to determine the damages and the proposed repair plans.
Mr. Bailey obtained the first jury verdict ($7.3 million) on behalf of an insured under Code of Civil Procedure section 340.9, the state law enacted in response to former Insurance Commissioner Chuck Quackenbush's scandal involving the handling of Northridge Earthquake insurance claims.
Mr. Bailey is active in the Los Angeles and Channel Islands Chapters of the Community Associations Institute and the California Association of Community Managers. He frequently lectures on insurance bad faith and construction defect issues.
